Resorts in the Maldives woo tourists with promises of 'the last paradise on earth'. If your idea of paradise is a pristine, tranquil tropical island with swaying palm trees, pure white beaches and brilliant turquoise lagoons, then the Maldives won't disappoint.
The Maldives is famed for its rare underwater beauty. The profusion of psychedelic colours and the abundance and variety of life underwater have fascinated divers and snorkellers since Maldives was discovered as a diving destination. The highest level of visibility that one could expect- sometimes exceeding 50 metres - and warm temperatures throughout the year makes diving in the Maldives a delight you would want to experience over and over again. The Maldives has some of the best dive sites in the world and many visit the Maldives repeatedly for the sole purpose of diving.
The weather is fine thoughout the year except for the monsoon periods.
The bad periods are June and July. However, the good news is a visitor
may never leave Maldives without considerable amount of sun even in this
period as it never rains non-stop. Therefore it is seldom that a day passes
without enough sun.
Free 30 days Visa upon arrival for all visitors No prior visa is required to enter the Republic of Maldives. Entry permit will be granted to visitors on arrival at designated ports of entry, based on the immigration requirements.
A number of schedule and charter flights operate to the Maldives. It is
just 55 minutes from Sri Lanka (Colombo), approx. 4 hours from
Singapore, Dubai, KualaLumpur and 11 hours from Europe. |

All resorts in the Maldives have professional dive schools with multi-lingual instructors and conduct courses for beginners as well as the advanced. Many of the resorts have excellent house reefs. Just a short swim from the beach and snorkellers too can experience the same pleasures from the surface.

Maldives is a 100% muslim country. Visitors should not attempt activities
which disturb the faith/belief and way of life of Maldivians. It is unlawful to
act as representatives of foreign Religious Missions (except may be for
Islam where a permit may be required) or attempt to spread other Religious
Beliefs in Maldives (secretly or publicly).

When choosing your resort, one of the decisions you have to make is whether you want to stay on a larger, perhaps noisier island with more facilities or a smaller quieter island. As a general rule, the diving is likely to be better from the smaller resorts.
Although we offer a portfolio of resorts with a resort to appeal to most tastes, our specialty is in the smaller resorts with accessible house reefs that offer excellent diving. And if you cannot decide which resort is for you, tell us your preferences and we will make a recommendation.
There are 26 geographical atolls in the Maldives but the government has authorised just ten of these atolls for tourist development. We have selected twelve resorts that we feel have something special to offer our clients. Some of our resorts are small and very quiet with few facilities but a beautiful white-sand beach and a turquoise lagoon, others are more sophisticated with swimming pools and tennis courts. All offer great diving and a wonderful tropical island escape.
